Enisha Shropshire
Client Engagement and Portfolio Lead
Enisha Shropshire is a seasoned strategy and impact leader with over 20 years of experience designing and executing complex initiatives at the intersection of equity, policy, and institutional change. She brings a rare combination of strategic rigor, creative problem-solving, and deep relationship-building to her work, with a proven track record of translating vision into durable systems and results.
Enisha currently serves as Director of Portfolio & Client Engagement at CapEQ, where she oversees a portfolio of multi-stakeholder initiatives advancing racial and economic equity across capital markets, corporate governance, workforce systems, and supply chains. In this role, she leads the design and execution of large-scale Communities of Action, field-building efforts, and strategic partnerships—most notably Path to 15|55, a national initiative powered by CapEQ that mobilizes investors, corporations, and advocates to advance inclusive enterprise and high-quality jobs. Her work positions CapEQ as connective tissue across ecosystems, aligning practitioners, decision-makers, and data to drive systems-level change rather than one-off interventions.
Previously, Enisha served as Director of Board and External Affairs at Texas 2036, a nonpartisan public policy nonprofit that uses data to inform long-term solutions for the state of Texas. There, she led board development and governance strategy, with a focus on building a board reflective of Texas across race, geography, industry, age, and gender. She also cultivated and managed statewide relationships with civic, community, and business leaders, and served as a culture carrier—leading internal and external communications and supporting organizational alignment during a period of growth.
Earlier in her career, Enisha managed high-profile projects for heads of state and prominent organizations including the George W. Bush Institute, the Clinton Foundation, The Rockefeller Foundation, and The Wall Street Journal, among others.
A Dallas native, Enisha is deeply engaged in civic and cultural institutions advancing equitable outcomes. She is a past president of the Mayor’s Star Council and currently serves on its board as Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee. She also serves on the boards of the Trust for Public Land, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and ScholarShot, and on the Community Advisory Board of KERA. Nationally, she is a member of the American Enterprise Institute’s Leadership Network. Enisha was named a 2020 Dallas Business Journal 40 Under 40 honoree. A congenial yet incisive leader, she is driven by a commitment to organizational effectiveness, shared accountability, and lasting systems change.
